Welcome.
As accredited fire safety design practitioners we can support you from concept through to the handover of your project.
We are a boutique fire services design consultancy who specialise in smaller projects and particularly refurbishment projects, such as retail and commercial tenancy modifications.
So feel free to get in touch with us if you are considering modifications to your office or shop tenancy. We may be able to help you through what is often a complicated and confusing aspect of the project process.

What do we do?
We provide APFS certified design documentation for:
Fire sprinkler systems
Fire detection and alarm systems
Fire hydrant / hose reel systems
We also have a network of peers who can provide endorsement of the Section 74 exemption, which is required with the design certification of modifications to existing fire services systems.
Certified design documentation
We can offer our consultancy services as technical support to assist clients, such as building owner or managers, with ensuring the design, installation and operation of the fire services systems within their buildings are capable of achieving compliance with the relevant regulations.

About us.
Founded in 2019 by Deane Fraser, we are a boutique sized consultancy, which allows us to focus on providing a high level of service to our clients and an excellent outcome on their projects.
We are extremely proud that the majority of our client base is made up of clients we have been working with over a number of years and who continue to trust us with their projects time and again, and importantly are comfortable referring us to their colleagues.
Our philosophy for building a successful business is to invest our energy into looking after our clients, rather than in marketing or advertising.
We ensure that we deliver a quality product, and we work hard to build and retain trust with our clients.
We do not take on more work than we can manage, and so we will always be honest about what we can provide and when we can deliver it for you.

Accredited Practitioner Fire Safety (APFS).
What is an APFS
Regulation of the fire services industry in NSW has been undergoing significant change recently with the intention of increasing the level of overall industry competence and the level of community confidence in what we do.
An important part of this move has been the implementation of the Fire Protection Accreditation Scheme (FPAS) for industry members to prove their competence in their specific fields of expertise.
As the FPAS scheme was approved on 01/07/2020, an individual with an active FPAS accreditation can operate in NSW as an 'Accredited Practitioner - Fire Safety' within the specific fields of their accreditation. More information can be found on the NSW Government Fair Trading website.
How could an APFS help me?
We recommend speaking to your Registered Certifier for guidance on what will be required for your specific project.
However, you will usually find if your project requires the installation or modifications to an essential services system, such as fire sprinkler protection or fire alarm systems, these works will need to be documented and endorsed by an APFS accredited designer before the project can be given approval to commence on site.
This means it is important to have this conversation with your Certifier early in the concept phase to ensure the development of the endorsed documentation does not delay your project. Particularly when the delivery program is an issue or when the works to the essential services systems may be complicated or may impact the spatial planning of the project.

We look forward to working with you.
